John 5:39 “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.”

Sola scriptura is probably the most misrepresented concept by Roman Catholics. The funny thing is? When they attack sola scriptura, they do not know they are most of the time using sola scriptura.

Sola scriptura means “by Scripture alone”.  An often misrepresented statement is that Martin Luther somehow invented this logical concept.  Sorry, with whatever you believe about Luther, he didn’t invent common logic.  He may have coined the Latin term for “by Scripture alone”, but the principle of logic was always in place.

John 19:37 “And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”  (Example of sola scriptura, an appeal to Zechariah 12:10)

Sola scriptura is NOT Solo scriptura. Solo meaning “scripture alone”. Meaning everything must be found in Scripture including sermons, terms such as sola-scriptura, trinity, concepts of doctrine, Christian books, etc. or it is discarded.  This is also high on the list of a Roman Catholic misrepresentation of sola scriptura which means BY Scripture alone.

Sola scriptura simply means that everything that relates to faith and practice is tested by Scripture alone, the revealed word of God being the ultimate authority.  It is using the appeal of Scripture in order to accept or decline a doctrine or a faith practice.  So let’s use the concept of the term “trinity” for example, the Triune God.  We can clearly see this by the test of Scripture, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three distinct persons in ONE God.

If we test the feast days for Mary for example by sola scriptura, it FAILS Scripture’s test. They are not mentioned or cannot be substantiated by the test of Scripture so it is discarded.

The challenge to Catholics is to try and refute the logical principle of sola scriptura WITHOUT using the principle. Unless you are an atheist or agnostic or do not see God’s word as His revealed word, you will find the refutation as impossible. Why? Because you will NOT be able to appeal to Scripture (using by Scripture alone) in order to refute it, this would be called a fallacy.  If you don’t appeal to Scripture, then you are placing some other entity such as the RCC in higher authority than Scripture and God Himself.

Another example. Catholics appeal to Matt 16:18 as their establishment to the papacy. Little do they know, they used sola scriptura in this doctrine.

Sola scriptura does NOT mean that every interpreted doctrine using sola scriptura is correct and infallible either.  However, using sola scriptura is used to refute or accept the doctrine by the systematic test through Scripture is conducted.  Many heresies and false doctrines are invented by using sola scriptura (see Satan’s use in Matt 4), but it does not mean the logical concept is invalid. It means it is used in DISCERNMENT. Scripture being the FINAL arbiter in every matter (see Jesus’ rebuke by using sola scriptura to Satan in Matt 4).

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus made no exception here. He didn’t say “through Me and Mary” or “through Me and the pope and his successors” or “through Me and a ritual” or “through Me and a denomination” or “through Me and your works” or “through Me and your church attendance”.  Salvation will always through Him and Him alone.

World religions such as Roman Catholicism based on humanism rise up and fight this notion tooth and nail. They will not submit themselves to the fact that salvation will be by the name of Jesus Christ alone (Acts 4:10-12) and that it will be by faith alone in Him and through Him. They say “no, this is much too narrow!”  That it cannot be just Jesus, why should He get all the glory?  But it is the age old satanic theme, “Jesus could not of paid the entire sin debt by His atonement” which has been deceiving sinners since the beginning.

Fallen man says “I must do”, those regenerated by God, born-again, are blessed to see that Jesus DID it! He paid the sin the debt, their rest is in Him, in His righteousness, His cleanliness, His perfection, His obedience.

World religions constantly point away from Jesus Christ. Notice the subtle attempt. It is always Jesus and something else. There is NO salvation outside of Jesus Christ!  I did not make this rule up, it is not my invention, it is God’s promise which has never changed!

• Place your faith in Him alone!  Repent of idolatry and humanism if it has drawn you away from this truth!

Note: Based on the satanic trolling of the book in the review/comment section on Amazon’s parent ad, I decided to pull the book based on Amazon’s lack of any enforcement of their own guidelines.  Mind you, their trolling happened just days after this 275 page book was published which should of been the first red flag. But it was also the obsessive personal hateful nature to the trolling which was the disturbing part along with the stalking across social media. My Facebook account was attacked and this very blog saw an attack as well by these satanic trolls.  Who else could this be other than the workers of Satan himself. What is he desperately trying to prevent Catholics from knowing? Amazon has now promised me senior level personnel are looking into these trolls so as to monitor and or suppress any further of their involvement.  I almost expect them to return in full fury, with more of their demon minded friends to come at me personally. But this time the book stays!  I thank God for His steadfast wisdom, providence, and protection during this time! 

The new version will have added pages and a chapter, so as to expose these satanic trolls who utterly failed in derailing this truth but in their vain obsessed attempt, it added to the truth in the book!  I am pleased to announce this version will be available in the near future!  I jest with those who have the original version, but you now have a collector’s item since there was a limited number which went out from Amazon. 🙂

Controversial Title?

I chose the title because I wanted to be honest and upfront to the buyers and consumers of the book.  The title is what the book is about. Now some have advised that if I used a different title, it might get more Catholics to read the book.  I do agree that this might be true, but it misses the emphasis and goal of the book entirely.  For the same reason a Catholic will not read this book because of the title is the very same reason another Catholic WILL read the book because of the title.  Those with the same questions I had when my eyes were opened to God’s truth will want to read this book.

I told someone the other day, that if I created the title to inflame all Catholics, I would of put an exclamation point at the end of the word “Problem!”  And I could then see the reasoning that the title should be changed.  We must remember, that we do not control the Holy Spirit. I did not write this book for profit, for fame, or for a desire to be on the New York Times bestseller list, those are ALL worldly things. Rather, I wrote this book for the lost Catholic being drawn out just as I was, like many others have, to give them HOPE.  Some have realized the problems years ago possibly, but based on the ecumenist society, they really have not heard the plain truth.  They are confused because there are these problems, and outside the church the sentiment is they are “Christians”. Yet they feel empty and uncertain because the church they belong to is not adding up.

I suggest to give this book to Catholics. They might not like the title, but they aren’t supposed to. When I originally published, the book was attacked by satanic trolls. 3-4 Catholics obsessively trolled the review/comment section. The message from God was that I chose the right title!  And now the new edition will expose further problems in the RCC that I had not realized before this occurrence.

If there are no problems in the RCC, then why would there be any fear with the book’s title?  The book’s emphasis is not a smear job on the RCC, it basically exposes the truth. It is up to the reader then to decide whether they will test these things or not. If a Catholic is curious enough, they will read this book. If they throw it out based on the title, there is not much I can do about it.  These same people would throw it out if I titled it “The Roman Catholic Success.”  So it wouldn’t matter.  All it would do is show dishonesty and my attempt to profit off a book title.

I appreciate the patience and encouragement of the church through this exciting time!  And I pray everyone who reads this book will learn, will grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ and to see Him for who He is!  Man’s doctrines and inventions always fail, God never fails!

2 Corinthians 7:9 ,”Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.”

In my book called Forgiving Others as God Forgives (2013), I explain how pride can get in the way of forgiveness.  Too often you will hear “I have nothing to apologize for”.  This statement is always out of pride. We have plenty to be sorry for. It is presumptuous to believe we are above the flesh in sin.  The Apostle Paul states in Romans 7:23 “But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.”  Paul is acknowledging he is not yet glorified. Paul was saved to the uttermost in Jesus Christ, but his humanly existence still held sin. It is important to remember this.

I also state in this book, that if one cannot apologize merely to another sinner, I find it hard to believe they could genuinely apologize to God for any sin.

We do not know how many sins we commit against a holy God. Are you living each second as God?  Not in the flesh you won’t. New creations in Christ strive and grow as they are being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, but make no mistake, you will be only perfect and good IN Jesus Christ’s righteousness.

So when we ever think “I have nothing to be sorry about”, think about this further. The person who seeks an apology obviously believes you do.  Now apply this to your walk in Jesus Christ.  You might believe you are godly, and have nothing to apologize or confess to God about, but think again of His holy standard. Have you woke up each in perfect obedience in every second? If not, you do have something to be sorry about.

Saying the words “I am sorry”, is a pride remover. Whether or not you believe you did wrong or not, it removes any attempt at pride.  It is a sign of STRENGTH not weakness!  Seek out the person who has a problem and apologize for the rift if anything.  It is a hard thing, don’t get me wrong. Pride will tear at our very members as long as we are on this earth.  Our first notion is “no, I won’t do this, then the person wins”.  But have they? Or did you win by your humility.

Accept the Apology! What I have seen especially in my former life, is the non-acceptance of an apology. The person says “I am sorry”, but the person says “not good enough”.  Placing conditions in an apology ALSO shows pride.  The person must gravel a certain way with all sorts of pre-conditions, and then you possibly will accept the apology?  Now, again, apply this to how God deals with you. Does He hold conditions in your confession, or does He freely forgive you through the person and work of Jesus Christ.  Why is your standard of an apology higher than God’s if you are placing all sorts of conditions.  All the tax collector said in the parable of Luke 18 was “be merciful to me God, a sinner”.  Jesus did not come back and say “not good enough, come up with more in your apology and then I might think about it”.

Often times pride will be the divide. Humble yourself, look at who you are before God. If saved, you strive to be conformed and each day pride will go.  If after decades of calling yourself a Christian, and you cannot give and apology and/or accept an apology as God does, examine your walk. Pray that God graces you with humility. Strive for the Cross, don’t fight against it.  You were pulled out of the burning wreck of your sins WITHOUT the slightest bit of an apology to Jesus Christ, He did not wait for this before He died on your behalf! Nor did He place all sorts of conditions as to how He would accept your confession, He simply died in your place!

Saying “I am sorry” is strength!  Accepting an apology is strength! 

Marks of a Christian!

In my view as a former devout Roman Catholic, the RCC is one of the most ignored mission fields on the planet.  Here are some pointers to keep in mind.

1.  Roman Catholicism teaches another gospel.  The Catholic is led to believe Jesus Christ’s work on the Cross was never enough to save them. It was merely a grand gesture, and now it is up to them to complete His work.

2. Approach a Catholic like you would any other unbeliever or world religion. There is no need to tip toe around the truth, or walk on egg shells. Remember it is not you who is the converter, but God, and ask yourself are you expecting praise or desiring their salvation. Don’t buy the guilt virtue signaling, “you are a hater” or “you are bigoted”, if you are anti-sin and you love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind, it eliminates that silly argument.

3. Catholics are good people in our communities, but don’t let this cloud the fact that they need the Gospel.  They may speak of “grace”, “Jesus Christ”, but I assure you their meaning and Scripture’s meaning are two vastly different ideas.

4. Catholics already believe they are Christians. They are not easier to witness to than atheists, but quite the contrary. They were led to believe by their church-going, sacraments, creeds, and tradition fallacies that they are the church. So it is VERY important you establish with them what the church is.

5. Manipulating and conforming to Catholicism never works. There is one common ground I can think of, they know there is an eternal hell.  So it is very important to establish why one would go to hell, our sin problem, and the only way to remedy this problem will be by the person and work of Jesus Christ, not smoke, incense, and rituals.

6. Ask them for their PERSONAL testimony in Jesus Christ. They simply will not have one. We should be hearing the decades long description of a relationship with the King of kings. Too often, I’d say even outside the RCC this is a missing element. If you don’t have a testimony, how is a Catholic going to trust you that the Good News of Jesus Christ changed your life?

7. Catholicism is NOT Christianity. It uses its name, that’s all. I say this boldly and without an apology. It is not anti-Catholic, it is being anti-SIN!  They may speak of Jesus, quote Scripture, but it is always the RCC’s version, it isn’t the Messiah, the Lord of lords, but their version. Important to keep this in mind.

8. If you are worried about offending feelings, ask yourself if your Catholic neighbor, friend, or family member passed away tonight and you withheld the truth, where would that leave you? In regret!  We aren’t promised tomorrow, the time is short and urgent!  If they scoff and mock and do not want to speak to you anymore, is that really your problem or theirs?  Do not be ashamed of the Gospel!

9. If you have a Catholic close to you, try to read the Bible with them!  Read it out loud and let the word of God do the rest.

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Trying to fix the issue or situation on your own? How is it working out? Probably not good, right.  Sometimes God will remain silent in our requests based on our pride and insistence that we work out our own problems.  We pray to God, and the next minute we are scurrying about trying something else.  Some issues can be anxiety stricken, such as trying to pay a mortgage, or a health issue, or a relationship issue which does not seem to be getting better.  We pray to God constantly, and nothing seems to grab His attention, or so it seems.

God teaches us patience through our faith. So that we get out of this thinking that it was us and God who solved the problem, when it will always be Him, He gets the glory. It is not the Roman Catholic cooperative pride method to which God works.  If we read the Old Testament especially, the Israelites tried that method over and over, and God rejected it over and over.  He wants to make absolutely certain that we know it was Him, and Him alone working this situation or issue, and if you are in Christ, the outcome will always be to your good. He wants you to be in the rest of Jesus Christ, not in the anxiety of the world.

It isn’t easy!  No one ever said it was. But we are in the flesh, and it is that pride, self-determined humanism God will break us of.  Wait on Him!  Don’t jump His plans thinking you are helping Him, you aren’t.  It is faith that pleases God, not your cooperation.  Is there anything too big for God? No! Remember He created the Universe and everything in it in 6 days. The complexities of DNA, all the different ecosystems and environments, the human being, so many different species of animals and insects, planets, solar systems, weather patterns, etc. , do you think your problem or issue would ever be too grand for Him to solve or to fix?

I learned this the hard way, be patient in your faith! Don’t pray to God and then run out and try to fix the unfixable problem, because you are then telling God you did not trust Him or do not believe He could fix it.  Wait on Him!  It might turn your stomach as you see time running out, the odds are against you, there seems to be no hope, and then comes God!  He doesn’t do this for a boast, He does this so that you SEE Him for who He is!  That you trust in Him! That your faith grows in Him!

Wait on God!

James 2:19 “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”

Do not be surprised if you are hounded, harassed, and maligned by a worker of Satan if you are sharing the truth of the Gospel.  In my last post, I explained why I needed to pull a book off of Amazon’s shelf based on the satanic behavior from Catholics who were triggered just at the title of the book, called “The Roman Catholic Problem”. These workers of Satan I would suspect are continuing to stalk me on Facebook as they seek to stop the truth.  I suspect they are had work conspiring their next attack, waiting for the book to come out again.  Well their day is coming, God ensured it!

Rev 20:15, “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

It is truly sad to see this satanic element in the Roman Catholic Church. I honestly never saw it before I published a book which discloses my testimony and exaltation in Jesus Christ. But they came in force. Their whole insane obsession with me and this book was at first odd, but then highly revealing.  They disparaged a fan of my work over and over again, and in this attempt even tried to align me with this fan by maligning me further.  They can spin their wheels, obsess, hold a grudge or whatever their evil dark hearts desire. I say this in the book, but it is a useless endeavor. God’s truth always prevails!

While they claim to be “Christians”, their behavior is satanic. As James said above, even the demons believe there is a God, it doesn’t mean they are going to be glorified because they like this behavior displays they do have a heart for evil and obsess in it. God will give them what they want and it is an eternity in this evil obsession away from Him!  So bring it Satan!  You will never prevail!  The truth will get out to Roman Catholics and there is not a thing you can do about it!  Your workers can spin their evil wheels all day and night for all I care! God never fails!

The way I see it, I am keeping those satanic operators occupied spinning their wheels over me over a book, while they concentrate all their pathetic efforts, meanwhile the church elsewhere is getting the truth out!  They will never stop the actual church Jesus Christ is building!

Satan desperately wants to prevent Catholics from hearing the truth of Jesus Christ! Those being drawn will not be hindered!

Due to Amazon’s lack of enforcement who basically allows hateful, defamatory, libelous, and slanderous attacks, and relentless demonic harassment, the book and myself have endured a relentless satanic attack by Catholic Facebook trolls, initials W.V., L.M., P.G. and others. Since Amazon would do nothing, I decided to protect the consumers of this type of abuse and thus pull the book temporarily.  The shameful harassment of Amazon customers, the highly venomous nature to this along with the hateful spite, etc. was quite disturbing to witness.  One of these demonic Catholics was told several times by an Amazon customer T.S. to “cease and desist”, yet he kept attacking.  These attacks lasted for 2 weeks and 24 hours a day, as these demonic Catholics underwent an obsessed relentless attack.  As an author, I had to just watch from the outside as my name was denigrated and slandered over and over, while Amazon just allowed the onslaught.  I put an end to the demon attack for now, and I hope they go back in the hole where they came from and possibly see the light of God before it is too late.  What does Satan not want you to know is the question?  Based on the obsession it is clear they were his workers behind this hate and vehement attack.

I would suspect they are still stalking me on Facebook, slandering, maligning, and obsessing, again what is Satan desperately trying to prevent Catholics from knowing?  The truth in this book!  He won’t prevail, nor will his workers.

I assure the readers with God as my witness, I had NO relationship with these vitriolic satanic trolls before June 2, 2018.  I had not known their names before this point, and I have been online in various forums for the past seven years.  They then attacked my Facebook account. This satanic behavior is the first I witnessed by Catholics, and it was quite sad to see.  But the truth must be contained, since they were so relentless in their attempt to derail the book’s distribution.  I am not saying by this all Catholics possess this demonic behavior, but now by what I just went through there are definitely some that do! They aren’t lapsed Catholics, but devout decades long militant style Catholics who were triggered obviously by the books title, that’s all it took, because usually commenting and reviews on book do not come for months after one has read the work. We need to pray for their repentance, the Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be shared to every Catholic now!

The book will be re-issued with a PERSONAL NOTE explaining what had happened which lend further credence to what this book is all about. The book called the Roman Catholic Problem officially published on 6/2/2018, available in Kindle and Paperback form.

The book encompasses the journey of Jeff Petricka leading up to his rebirth in Jesus Christ and out of Roman Catholicism. It will detail the various problems discovered based on discernment through Scripture. It was written for the love of all Catholics, those being drawn to Jesus Christ to His eternal rest, reassuring them that there is hope.  Whether you are new Catholic or a decades long Catholic, this book will touch upon the Roman Catholic experience in detail and where some apparent glaring problems need to be discerned.

The first week of this publication has been met with many demonic attacks, as there has been a dark attempt to smear the work, to take it off the reading list of Catholics, and also defame and delegitimize the author.  The fear being that this author just might be telling the truth.

Catholics, please read this work. It may touch your life and answer some questions you as well have been asking about your faith.  It may not reach the hardened Catholic as the title might throw you off a bit, but give it a fair reading and you will discover the author’s intent is bring you the truth of the Gospel in love.

Please your dependence in Jesus Christ!  He is the only one who can save you! World religions always attempt to take away this dependence, as they say “depend on us, we shall save you”. And usually it is done by rituals, smoke, incense, and mirrors always leaving you uncertain and empty.

Jesus did NOT say “come to a denomination” or “believe in Me through a denomination”.  He said come to Him, believe in Him.  If you are depending on your religion, you are always hungry and thirsting for the truth, because you have NOT placed your trust in Jesus Christ!
