When Scripture is Veiled

2 Corinthians 3:16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Those indoctrinated into a world religion have a similar characteristic when it comes to the Bible and the doctrines contained in it. Scripture is veiled to conform to that world religion.  Chapters, verses, passages are as if they are not even there in the mindset of an indoctrinated person under a false theology. The apparent phenomenon is the veiling of Scripture by man’s invented tradition. The veil is placed over to make Scripture work with the tradition.

You will see this when challenging one with a false theology.  You may provide several verses refuting the false doctrine, and the sinner because of this veil either ignores them flat out, does not respond to them, use a hyper dispensational context plea (that only applied to the old covenant but only in certain cases which do not match the invented tradition of man), or greatly twisted.

Example would be when Jesus said in John 6:37, “”All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out”. Those who teach one can lose their justification and redemption in Jesus Christ will either ignore this verse entirely or twist it. The twisted response might be “well Jesus might not cast me out, but I can cast myself out” or something to this effect.

Those of us who were former Roman Catholics can all attest when the veil was taken away (2 Cor 3:16), there were things we had never seen before.  Whole parts of Scripture were not seen or we just ignored it because it didn’t work with our indoctrination.  That’s IF we even read Scripture, which is a whole other issue in the RCC.

When Scripture is not your ultimate authority, when you are demanding that the text say a certain thing, the natural tendency is to ignore the convicting verses.  Over time they are never read, the veil has been put over them. Romans 9 comes to mind. Many churches and world religions never take the time to study this chapter because it is much too convicting when it comes to synergism and man-centered gospels.

If you are ignoring Scripture in any part in its systematic context, you are most likely following an invented tradition of man.  Everything in Scripture is connected as it speaks to the person and work of Jesus Christ. It is a church’s invented tradition placed ABOVE Scripture WHICH BREAKS THE CONNECTION!  Avoid these heresies, discern them.

If you are constantly avoiding every verse in a chapter to get to the verse which might look great for your man-made tradition, this is called cherry picking out of context.  I have encountered someone for years now for example who skipped John 5:24 to get to John 5:40 to attempt to place man sovereign over God in the salvation equation.  It is like verse 24 was not in his Bible.  Again, it is always a church’s tradition or pride in that tradition which will always break the context and systematic connection with what is actually being taught, so the veil is placed over parts of Scripture in order for that tradition to work.

When God removes the veil, the newly saved sinner is His student. They might not know everything, but each day enlightenment comes they start to connect the dots by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.  Avoid man’s tradition!

Never place a church’s statement of faith ABOVE Scripture, it is always subordinate.

The Feelings “Gospel”

In the United States where I reside, the feelings gospel is prominent.  Signs, wonders, miracles, wives tales, health, wealth, and prosperity are the main cogs of the feelings gospel.  It purveys the sentiment of “don’t judge anyone”, and do not discern truth from error, keep that to yourself not to offend another’s feelings.

The feelings gospel uses Jesus Christ as some kind of social justice warrior, as if His mission on earth was to make sinners comfortable in a fallen world. It is a gospel where all roads lead to heaven, you don’t even have to believe in Christ, just be a “good” person by subjectively moral standards based on relativism.  God is a monster to actually be holy, eternally, and demanding absolute perfection.

Jesus is a salesman in the feelings gospel. He yearns and pleads with sinners only to be laughed at, spit upon, rejected. But that’s ok in this gospel, human beings are equal to Him in every respect except those miracles needed by Jesus which He must produce through a deceiver too at times, someone who can profit off the miracle.  And signs, wonders, miracles are continuously needed to actually know there is a God.  You must forget all those warnings of false teachers and anti-Christs in the feelings gospel or you might be labeled as a hater or a bigot.

Church attendance or a Facebook post is all is needed in this feelings gospel to prove you are a Christian. Any challenges to the sinner’s witness or testimony will be met with condemnation.  “How dare you bring my sin up” is the sentiment in this gospel.  How dare you actually demand proof that one is part of the church.  And by the way, you can stop talking about sin all together since the feelings gospel teaches we are all mostly “good people”.

The feelings gospel produces excuses for sin, and then prescribes medication for the remedy instead of Jesus Christ.  Again, Jesus would do the same in this gospel, the “what would Jesus do” mindset.  He would look at the sin of day and say “no harm no foul since everyone is in agreement”.

Lust is seen as love in the feelings gospel.  The lust for material items, lust for sex, lust for selfish endeavors, lust for the world, are the fruits of this gospel. While depression and anxiety reign as the results, just prescribe more pills instead of the call to confess and repent and believe the actual Gospel of Jesus Christ which is much too harsh on the ears and much too divisive.

Those outside the feelings gospel are seen as haters and bigots. We are the enemy if you call out sin and preach the holiness of God.  They can’t have this truth since relativism is the new standard.

The fact is, the feelings gospel saves ZERO!  Yes ZERO!  It is a gospel which tells you to love the fallen world and everything in it, placing you as a ardent enemy of the Almighty God.  You might claim to know Jesus, but it is always a version which fits your lust and depravity and on that glorious Judgment Day He will sadly tell you “I never knew you, depart from Me”.

Good people by subjective moral standards DO NOT ENTER HEAVEN! Forgiven sinners by the person and work of Jesus Christ do! Repent of your sins and believe the Gospel!  The person who tells you this does NOT hate you, rather they love you so much they would rather hurt your fragile feelings than to see you end up in eternal hell.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you

Christianity is Public

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Some have this idea when challenged on their Christianity that their faith “is between God and themselves”.  Jesus said this would be not the case for His church. It would be alive and a public faith, not a faith to be hidden from the world, but a light of the world.

Matthew 10:33 “But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”

Jesus reiterates again that faith in Him should never be a private “between God and myself” faith.  If you are in Jesus Christ, a true follower of Him, is there any part of you which feels ashamed? And I am not talking about once a week in a church setting, but everywhere, in front of your family, friends, coworkers, school?  Are you afraid if you mention your love for Jesus it might just get you kicked out of a worldly adventure or desire or relationship?  If so, you are denying Him.

I have challenged some on this respect, especially Roman Catholics who when pressed for their testimony will not freely share their faith in Him, always telling me “it is between God and myself” or that I could not judge.  If the RCC was that light of the world your faith in Christ could not be hidden.  Merely claiming you are a Catholic tells me nothing other than you have joined a club or a member of a worldly church.  It tells me not a thing about your actual faith in Jesus Christ, and how He is personally working in your life.

Some use Jesus as a spiritual ATM machine.  There is trouble in the family or a health concern or a disaster, and the ATM machine is then used. Jesus is spoken about and pleaded to. As soon as the trouble passes, the ATM machine is put in a closet, locked away until the next disaster.  This is not Christianity nor faith in Jesus.  It is called superstition.

Some use Jesus as their Facebook friend so to speak. He is used for “likes” on their FB page when self-esteem is low and needs a boost. As soon as that esteem rises, Jesus is then an after-thought.  Again using Him as a spiritual ATM machine.  Just used when needed. This is not Christianity nor faith in Jesus, but an idea of Him.

Christianity is a PUBLIC faith! Never private.  The marks of your salvation and saving faith granted by God are clearly shown and genuinely shown.   If you were pulled out of the burning wreck of your putrid rotten sins and granted eternal life, this Good News is not a private occurrence. It might be hard to speak about in terms of detail at first, but the event of it is always public.

Are you looking for God in everything, or looking for the world and yourself in everything is the question.  If you see God in everything, you see His hand in everything!  You are that light of the world, and the world does not like this light. Don’t expect roses and puppy dogs and ice cream from the world, you will be persecuted and hated for this light, but it is a light which cannot be hidden!  There is no darkness in Jesus Christ and the world despises Him and His children for this.

The light of Jesus Christ cannot be hidden!

Christian Growth

Ephesians 4:17, “This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

A fully justified sinner through the person and work of Jesus Christ has been set apart or sanctified in Him by God’s grace through faith alone.  The saved sinner has been completely forgiven of their sins and is a called out one.  Called out of the world to the glory of Jesus Christ, a full citizen of heaven.

God doesn’t make defective new creations in Christ, everything He does for His Son is perfect!

A newly born saved Christian now begins their journey of growth by sanctification from God. They grow in the glory of Jesus Christ. Some will have fast growth, some will have slower growth, but this is always to purpose and will and timing of God.  We do not know all the workings of God and purposes. Example, your growth could be slowed or given speed depending possibly God preparing you to witness to one individual in the future of which He is also preparing them for!  There are some amazing things God is doing!

Your very birth in Christ was deemed by God set apart by Him to a specific purpose, the timing was set by Him. God does not do things willy nilly or haphazardly.  He isn’t thinking “I just hope this guy or gal one cooperates with Me” as some put that box around Him think.

A Christian grows from their rebirth. What this means is just because you have been given salvation by grace from God, it does not mean you will be perfect in the flesh. There are sins to repent of, duties to do for the King, enlightenment to come from Scripture, and conviction of sin from the Holy Spirit leading you to holiness and conforming you to the image of Jesus Christ.  The fruits now of the Holy Spirit are given to you, and you will grow in each one.  Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, forgiveness, repentance, all will have growth and maturity.

The accusation comes from the world religions and influenced by Satan which will be “why aren’t you perfect?”  Or “God will not save you unless you have 100 percent growth in all the fruits of the Holy Spirit”.  The refutation comes simple, no-one will be perfect in the flesh.  We are only perfect in Jesus Christ while on this earth by faith alone.

With any growth comes discipline. It is a discipline with God.  If you stymie the growth by going back to your former life of sin, God will not be pleased and discipline will come. If there is no discipline, you most likely are not His child.

Discernment of other Christians comes from growth and maturity. If one for example claimed they were a Christian for several decades, yet show zero growth in any fruit of the Holy Spirit, or have not repented of a sin from decades ago, you can discern this person as a false convert or tare in the church.

A seed planted by God grows! Make no mistake about this. It doesn’t stay in a dormant state.  The only difference is the rate of the growth in each born-again believer. Don’t compare your growth with others in other words, it will never match the way you expect it to.  But there will always be growth in the Holy Spirit!

Are you Sinless?

Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

A common misrepresentation of one who has been saved, is that we are sinless. Paul explains in Romans 7 this is definitely not the case.  So what does it mean when we are saved by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ?  It means the sinner has been FORGIVEN of their sins.  Each sin committed in the flesh is nailed to the Cross of Jesus.

This does not mean the sinner is sinless, it means they have been saved from their sins, completely safe and forgiven, heaven bound in the full rest and peace of Jesus Christ.  While still on earth, in our fallen flesh, we will always hold sin, always capable to sin.  However, if Jesus has saved you, every sin has been forgiven! This is why we call Him a Savior for one thing, and why this is such Good News!

Because Jesus was sinless, those saved are seen legally now as sinless as well in the respect to their standing before God, but this ONLY occurs in Christ alone.   If you are outside of Christ alone, you do not have Him in this legal mediation with God, thus you stand condemned.  In Christ there is salvation, outside of Christ the wrath of God remains on you.

Now being saved by Jesus is NOT A LICENSE to sin! It is freedom from its penalty which is eternal death away from God but more so the wrath of God.  A saved sinner doesn’t run out looking for sins to commit because there is no penalty in other words. Rather the opposite occurs since they realize how great a price Jesus paid for their salvation.  The desire is not to sin, to avoid sin, the realization now is that each sin put Jesus on the Cross.

Bottom line? All human beings will hold sin in their flesh. The difference is in the legal standing before God, have you been forgiven of your sins or not.  And this can only be done by God’s mercy alone, by His grace alone, through saving faith alone, with the perfect work of Jesus Christ alone to His glory alone!

Has your world religion led you astray?  What is preventing you from believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior?  Is it sin you are unwilling to have forgiven because then it means you will have to acknowledge them and repent (turn away) from them?

World religions such as Roman Catholicism have put up seemingly impossible roadblocks.  They basically say “in order for God to forgive you, you must first be sinless, and remain sinless and then just maybe He will save you”…if this is the case, then Jesus didn’t need to die on the Cross.  Romans 5:8-10 tells us that Jesus did not wait, He died and made the atonement WHILE we are still sinners, that He saves the ungodly, not the self-righteous godly.  They tell you that just one stumble and BOOM, you lose your salvation. Whereas Jesus Christ’s salvation has NO FAILURE. He LOSES NO ONE GIVEN TO HIM! Not one! Try as you might, but you cannot out-sin the mercy and grace of God.  But why would you try with full knowledge of what Jesus did on your behalf?

No one will be able to convince God on Judgment Day to change His terms. Many will plea “but Lord Lord” and He will say “depart from Me” (ref: Matt 7:21-23).  Leave your pride today and believe in Jesus Christ! He can and will save you!

No Time For This!

John 16:26, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”

In the movie Gettysburg, a scene was portrayed during the battle. General Robert E. Lee and Jeb Stuart had a little talk.  Stuart was Lee’s main scout for the rebel army.  For some unknown reason, he went missing for a time leaving Lee guessing as to what the Union army was up to.  Stuart finally showed up and Lee was upset. He admonished Stuart by asking him some questions such as “were my orders confusing?” Stuart listened but being prideful wanted to provide an excuse and rationalizations for where he was and why he failed Lee. Visibly angry, Lee  responded with “THERE IS NO TIME FOR THIS!”

Whether this actually was really said or not by Lee during the actual battle, I do not know but it serves as a teaching lesson for those in the field in serving the Gospel.  There simply is NO TIME for nonsense and arguments!  There is a war going on between light and darkness, and there is really no time to fight amongst ourselves is the point.  We must battle this darkness, and provide the Gospel.

There really isn’t time if you think about this.  Your neighbor, family member, co-worker, that stranger you meet during the day all could be called by God tonight, their expiration date could be very well today.  There is no time to be squabbling about silly things within the church of which I see far too often.  If you have been graced by salvation, your duty is clear, it is not confusing. Your call is to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Some may have lost their way in the church.  The key is do they stay lost?  If so, they were never part of the church. Some would like to argue and argue with other Christians, there simply is NO TIME for argument.  If one continues to do so, they probably were never part of the church.

I use the example of a dog. They know their lives are short. They have NO TIME to hold grudges and for bitterness. They greet each day as a new blessing.  We as competent human beings can learn this lesson!  There is NO TIME for the nonsense which comes with the world!  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an urgent call!

What is Joy?

Psalm 89:15

Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.

The world for the most part defines joy as “I achieved my lust”.  This is not really joy but sin.  How this can be discerned is what makes you joyful.  Is it a worldly endeavor or is it being in the rest of an Almighty God.  If it is something worldly, a relationship, a career, a hobby, etc. the “joy” is fleeting. It ends and is erratic.  You are in the never-ending pursuit of this joy.  It is like a carrot on a stick, you reach for it constantly, you work and work for this joy, and it is pulled away from you. The world will let you down!  The appearance of joy is not really joy, but an illusion.

Joy is defined as: “a feeling of great pleasure and happiness.”

What is pure joy?  To be in the rest of Jesus Christ! Yes, the peace and comfort which surpasses all understanding, knowing He, the Almighty God is in your corner. The very God of this universe and everything and everyone in it knows you, this is where pure joy is realized.

Since God’s promises are immutable, they never change, there is pure joy in this!

Joy is seen in pure unconditional love, without even the hint or notion of lust!

Joy in God’s unconditional grace which is a GIFT, not as a conditional cooperation!

Eternal joy doesn’t leave!

When the world attacks you for something, you fully realize that it is God who is serving and protecting you, this is pure joy!

Joy is knowing that we being fallen putrid rotten sinners are loved by a holy God!

Joy is realizing that Jesus Christ made a full and complete atonement for each and every sin you committed and will commit, and resting in His perfect righteousness!

Joy is seeing one repent of their sins, leaves the world, and believes the Gospel!

Joy for sale?

There is no joy in guilt. World religions are the sellers of guilt. They command “do this, don’t do that, do what we tell you”, and on it goes. They take away every joy because they are constantly teaching you to distrust the ONLY person who can give you this pure joy, Jesus Christ! There is no peace, no rest in a world religion.  All that comes from world religions are depression, anxiety, anger, betrayal, distrust, and extreme sadness. Empty joy is always the result as the boasts are self-centered and worldly.

Are you trying to buy joy with worldly things? Vacations end, people leave, jobs do end, hobbies change. Real joy cannot be bought or sold with material items! There is NO joy in sin, again sin will deceptively give an illusion, a desert mirage, but it is not joy!

Joy is knowing with 110 percent certainty that you will NOT experience any sting of death and that you will live with Jesus Christ forever and ever. And there is no one, not one thing in this world that can take this certainty away from you!

What is preventing you from this joy??  Is pride in something that will not last this road block? Is pride in a worldly church failing you?  Repent of your sins, turn away from them and believe in the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ!  He will give you this never-ending joy in Him alone!

If you do not feel joy by reading the below, you sadly have not been separated from the world by God. Your war and rebellion against God prevents you from any real joy.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Seasonal “Christian”

Matthew 13:20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Seasonal “Christian’s” are easy to spot especially on social media. Seasonal meaning they tend to stay for the season, are excited for the word, and then when something worldly comes up, Christianity is then put away.  I have seen the type.  They use Jesus when needed, and then when all is well worldly or a drama in the world comes up, He is a passing thought.  They aren’t workers in God’s field in other words.

Seasonal Christians can also be seen as once-a-weekers.  They get the kids all dressed up on Sunday morning and then frantically kareem off to church to put their hour in. As soon as the service is over, Christianity is put a way for the rest of the week.

In other words seasonal Christians can be seen as false converts, they need the Gospel, they need conviction to come, they need God’s regenerating hand. Don’t pass on them because for a season they seemed to be a Christian, view their witness over time for actual discernment.  We can give the benefit of the doubt, no issues with this, but then discernment must come.  Time usually exposes the seasonal Christian.

Am I striking a nerve?  Well, I will say that IF you realized who Jesus Christ is and what He did on your behalf, there can be no seasonal workers for Him!  And I say this boldly. Put your useless excuses away, your rationaliations as well.  Jesus Himself exposes seasonal “Christians” in the Parable of the Sower.   And this is just as applicable today as when Jesus stated it to the disciples!

Examine yourself, are you a seasonal “Christian”…are you using Christianity as a prop in your life?  Sooner or later the jig will be up and I pray it is before Judgment Day, because you can freely be this seasonal “Christian” and fool the world, but you will not fool God.

If today you hear His voice, do not harden your heart!  Repent of your sins and believe the Gospel, put your hand to the plow and never look back!

Beating Depression and Anxiety

Psalm 40:1-4

 I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

The U.S. drug industry since 1975 has exploded into a multi billion dollar market, not based on a cancer curing drug but with mind numbing drugs and medications. The scenario goes with someone struggling with depression or anxiety going to a doctor or psychiatrist and being prescribed with a anti-depression type drug. In the modern era there now is really no physical diagnosis in most cases, the patient basically shows a set of symptoms which proves a check list and they are then prescribed.

In some cases there can be a physical diagnosis of the brain’s chemical imbalance and in those cases they always have been treated and should be treated. Usually the patient has always had this imbalance all throughout their life and are inflicted with a disease causing the symptoms. But now the market has expanded beyond the clinical depression/anxiety cases and not onto just anyone who feels down for more than a day. It could be prescribed for one grieving a death of a loved one for example, or a simple heartbreak of a teen, or someone down on their luck.

A doctor will hand out Prozac and other drugs like candy. The problem is in these cases, the drugs do not cure the problems. They only serve to numb the problem, the person can function now in life a little better. If the person decides to stop taking the drug, the problem that was never dealt with is still there and there can be grave consequences such as suicide resulting from it which is happening on a frequent basis. And you will hear this in the commercials for the drugs.

Drugs cannot cure or fix a non-clinical depression or anxiety problem, they will only put the problem in a stalemate position. So what is the cure? The Gospel of Jesus Christ!   Believe in God, that the Creator can and will fix your problems and He will!  Not as a test, not as a demand, not as non-trust, but in full trust! Depend on Him only! Do not depend on a doctor, or counselor, they can only try to listen to your symptoms, try to help through medication.

It is not wrong to seek clinical help, and I am not suggesting not to seek this help. But I am making you aware that without trust in God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, without His rest, your sickness and depression will most likely never leave.

I do not discount depression or anxiety. We live in a fallen world. Christians can get depressed and be anxious as anyone else can. We must always trust in God, wholeheartedly, always trusting in His sovereignty that whatever the circumstance good, bad, indifferent, sad, whatever it might be that God’s hand is working.   Full trust is where God is leading you to. You can wake up each day knowing He is in charge and that whatever happens, God is with you. When we don’t trust Him, when we seek the world instead, this is when depression and anxiety take hold. When I graduated from college I struggled with depression and anxiety. I lost a great relationship combined with struggling with finding a career. Each day was a struggle. I thank God now I was able to get through it, and it wasn’t by being medicated, it was totally by His sovereign hand. I had to look back though to see it because at the time I did not know He was behind it, but I know He was!

Tips to beat depression

If you do believe in God, start out each day actually believing in Him!

I know it sounds logical but it must be said because some start their days without Him, then wonder why all these things keep happening, why am I so depressed.

Look in the mirror and say “I am God’s creation, I believe in His sovereign glorious hand to protect and serve me”. I will strive to say and do everything to God’s glory”.

Try to read Scripture more!  The Psalms are a wonderful depression reliever. It is NOT how many pages or Psalms you read, it can be a single verse you mediate on or a passage. Read each word as hearing the very voice of God speak to you. Make this your daily habit.

Pray without ceasing! What does this mean? Depend on God for everything, get into this habit. A quadriplegic Christian once said “I thank God for my physical condition because my relationship with Him is minute by minute and I know Him and He knows me”.  You don’t need to pray out loud in this, just keep God in your thoughts and on your mind in every single thing you do. Try this! Communicate with Him what the problem is or what your request is always knowing if it is in His will, He will provide. If not in His will, it won’t happen, so you do get an answer either way and rest in this.

Do not depend solely on the world to beat your depression and anxiety. The old term “misery loves comfort” rings true. So if you are seeking your friends or family to help you or enable you through a problem, you generally will find one who will love to see you depressed as they are or once were, it validates their condition.

If you are on medication, view this as a temporary fix, always asking God to cure the problem. Listen to your doctors but trust in God! Do not view the drugs as a cure, because they won’t be able to. God must help you rid the problems in your life and the dependence should be always on Him.  TRUST IN HIM!

Try to stop dwelling on yourself, and dwell on Jesus Christ. Try not programming your mind pessimistically but with positivism.  Constantly tell yourself “God will fix this problem”

Lastly, ask others to pray for you through a problem. You are NOT burdening others with any request, never think this!  If one tells you they are burdened, then they aren’t someone to seek.  Christians are never burdened!

I do pray for those struggling with depression and anxiety. I empathize with your affliction and tell you there is HOPE in Jesus Christ! He will and shall see you through this storm! Trust in Him!

Prepared for an Eternity

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

Are you prepared for an eternity?  A simple question most people around you could not answer in full honesty.  The question asks are you prepared to meet God in other words. Those who do not believe there is a God have deluded their minds into denying this fact so they would say there is nothing to prepare for.  They will be sadly mistaken on Judgment Day.  They would be most likely preparing only for retirement or their kids soccer tournament next week or a career move or some other worldly adventure, that’s as far as the preparations in their life will go.

Those encapsulated in a world religion such as Roman Catholicism cannot answer this question honestly.  Since humanism teaches that eternal life depends solely on you to complete the process, there is doubt and uncertainty whether you will achieve all the necessary things supposedly needed for final justification in front of God, the things Jesus left supposedly unfinished. Sadly, this is how a Catholic prepares, it is by self-centered, self-righteousness, and self-governance.

So what is the proper way to be prepared for eternal life?  You must first place your faith alone in the person and work of Jesus Christ.  You could never be prepared without this faith as Romans 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Do you see this friend??  It is IMPOSSIBLE to please God without faith!  And this faith is in God alone.  You cannot please God by church attendance, rituals, smoke, incense, non-genuine repetitious prayers, prayers to others, faith in others, faith in human beings, but faith in Him alone! So it is FAITH which prepares a sinner for an eternity. Without faith there is no preparation, you are fooling yourself. Misplaced faith is also fooling yourself.

Those with saving faith in Jesus Christ alone have come into His peace and His rest, there is now NO condemnation for those in Him (Ref: Romans 8:1).    So by God’s grace they are now PREPARED for an eternity with Him to God’s glory alone!

Without this preparation, depression, anxiety, the tossing and turning of worldly nonsense and sadness overwhelms the sinner.  You simply are fighting the inevitable, the day you will stand before God.  Without Jesus Christ as your only Mediator, that day will greatly multiply your depression, anxiety, sadness, etc. when He says “depart from Me”.

“Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts”  (ref: Hebrews 3:15)

Place your faith alone in Jesus Christ today! LEAVE those world religions and world endeavors today, kick them to the curb!  You shall be in His rest and in His peace being fully prepared to meet God because it is His righteousness and His perfection you will be wearing!  THIS IS GOOD NEWS!
