A false gospel Keeps Bad Company

1 Corinthians 15:33   Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

In light of the most recent exposure on Roman Catholic child abuse, it is indicated now that two recent popes knew about the abuse of a cardinal, and chose not to take any action.  Now these are thundering allegations which are still being scrutinized, but this is the drip drip drip of this problem in the RCC based on concealment, secrecy, and evil company.

Roman Catholics whether they admit or not are struggling with this problem. Some choose just to ignore it completely, calling “rubbish” and “fake news”. Hoping in vain that no more news reports come out.

I do believe God allows sin, but it is never outside His control and we see this in this judgment being handed down to the RCC.  By His sovereignty, it also can be looked at a way to WAKE UP the sleeping Catholic to His truth.  Those drawn to Jesus Christ are not ignoring this judgment, they are attentively now testing their faith in such a church which would cover up such evil within its walls.

And make no mistake, the drip drip drip, has now lasted for over 25 years.  One would think that a church being headed by Jesus Christ would squash the evil as soon as it presented itself as the Bible commands. “Purge the evil among you”. But the RCC has failed completely to do this and follows the same pattern.  A large abuse case is exposed, the church uses all sorts of rhetoric claiming they are serious now to clean up this problem, and then we see the next case.

And the ENLIGHTENING thing to this, is that the crimes are NOT being presented by the RCC but exposed by secular sources who have to endure the drip drip drip.  Jesus said to “confess your sins”, bring them out in the open. Not “wait until secular authorities press you for years and a grand jury needed to expose your crimes”.  The church Jesus is actually building does not conceal sin, they call it out, the repent.

The below is actually the church Jesus continues to build. Those outside the church follow a different ideology.  God would not let His church be corrupted continuously by evil doers.  Peter did not cover up and conceal their crime and claim “well the Jews do the same thing, so let’s give them a break shall we?”. God called it, Peter did not waver.

Acts 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. 11 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.

Roman Catholic Abuse Remedy

1 Corinthians 15:33  Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

It has been clear, the RCC cannot be trusted to investigate itself and provide a remedy to its ongoing problem with the abuse of children.  The congregation for the most part refuses to confront their hierarchy or if there is any mention, it comes without any real teeth in order to combat abuse and prevent children in the RCC of this abuse.  The cult-like mentality is to delicately protect the institution at all costs first, before even thinking about protecting a child.

Remedies which need to be implemented in the United States.

The Dept. of Justice needs immediately to open up statewide investigations into every diocese, empowering every U.S. attorney with subpoena power.

Victims of this abuse must freely be able to come forward without threats or accusations of lying.  Unless the laity in the RCC are willing to set something like this up, the abuse will continue and the victims will hide in shame.  If the RCC is unwilling, each state should set up a center for these victims.  The #metoo campaign started in a godless secular Hollywood society, why hasn’t it started in the RCC?

The U.S. State Dept. needs to get involved, demanding that the Vatican open up its secret archive on this abuse throughout the centuries. This will give the actual picture of what the U.S. is dealing with.  To this date, all we see are the slow dribble of inform. once a prosecutor investigates for years because of ZERO cooperation from the Vatican and the RCC.

Any U.S. bishop or cardinal or vicar general involved in covering up the abuse, or moving predators around, or hiding predator priests to stave off statute of limitations must be prosecuted as conspirators of this abuse.

Priests using any inappropriate language or behavior to children should be immediately expelled, something the RCC has been unwilling to do. So this is where the RCC laity needs to rise up and take control, demand accountability. Until this is done? Priests will be free to abuse children under a cover of red tape and secrecy.

U.S. politicians NEED TO STOP running from this problem!  They don’t speak out for the fear of the Catholic vote.  To me, this is the most pathetic revelation from the RCC abuse problem. They give the RCC a free pass and the RCC gladly takes it. Kind of makes you wonder why Nancy Pelosi is allowed by the RCC to say she is a “good Catholic” even though she supports abortion and same-sex marriage?  Maybe it is called “buying her silence” over this endemic abuse . Now if this were to happen in the DNC or RNC for example, the opposing party would be constantly sounding off and exposing and demanding action from the justice dept.

Unless at least some of these remedies are used, the abuse problem will continue on in the U.S.  Sure, the RCC will make some grand statements in the meantime, claiming “all is under control. measures are being taken”, but those who have been a Catholic in the 1990s, you heard this same thing when the first cases were exposed.  I heard it again in the early-mid 2000’s when more cases were exposed.  The fact is, the RCC cannot be trusted to investigate itself.

God will repay, and those Roman Catholics who continue to sleep through this abuse will account for it sooner or later.  Your silence and unwillingness to do anything makes you COMPLICIT with the sins. Your money being sent to the Vatican coffers to cover up these crimes makes you COMPLICIT with the sins of these predators.  You are in fact a co-conspirator whether you believe it or not.

Rebuke with ALL Authority

Titus 3:2, “These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority.  Let no man despise thee.”

As Christians in Jesus Christ, Paul makes it clear we do hold all authority to rebuke when it comes to sound and pure doctrine , to speech, and to behavior (Titus 3:7).  We are not to stick our heads in the sand in the face of opponents and by this rebuke they will be “put to shame” (Titus 3:8).

When faced with false teachers and false gospels, do not hold your tongue. Do not appease or compromise, but rebuke them.  Why is it important to do so?  It is not only the false teacher you are rebuking but anyone who would buy their nonsense and lies.

If you have been in the gospel sharing arena for sometime, you will sooner or later have run into a false gospel and false teacher or false promoter of this gospel. Roman Catholics come to mind. The pattern is pretty much always the same. They will preach their memorized talking points, the rebukes and refutations from Scripture can be used for each one, the Catholic will then play a helpless victim so that you to stop this rebuke and refutation.  And sometimes they will flee the conversation or group, seemingly wounded and martyred.  This is only done because they hope and wish that the Christian cease or change their bold approach.

But do not cease being bold in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It must be shared without an apology!  You are not out to make worldly friends of the perishing, your duty is to share the Gospel of their salvation.  I see many manipulators being strung along by Catholics. Those who believe they can somehow be nice enough to convince them of their errors. It won’t work!  The signal a Catholic gets is “my faith is just fine, and this non-Catholic agrees”.  I say this from personal experience. I stayed with that apostate church for decades because my faith was appeased and the gospel I believed was compromised to.

Those who ignore the call to rebuke with all authority, are ignoring their duty to the King, Jesus Christ.  One day we will all account for our actions. If you have been given eternal life from God, is there any duty to be ignored?  Heresy, false teachings and gospels must be confronted BOLDLY and with ALL AUTHORITY as they futilely attempt to destroy God’s kingdom.  Throwing your hands up to the enemy and surrendering, is not representing Jesus Christ.  And manipulation is also surrendering to the opponent, whether you believe it or not.

If you struggle in this discipline, watch and learn from those in God’s field who are hated by the enemy.  They are always unwavering, dutiful to their calling. They don’t take months off or days off from this duty and the enemy hates this!  They completely trust in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and His sovereignty, and more importantly His Good News.  They aren’t out to make worldly friends and appease the enemy, but they give them no quarter because there is the UTMOST URGENCY. We aren’t given an unlimited amount of time for one thing.

The person being witnessed to could have their expiration date as today!  Let this sink in!  Yes today, that sinner you believe is following a false gospel and in need of salvation could be called by God today to account for their sins.  Rebuke with ALL authority with God’s revealed word as your only authority!  Take yourself out of the salvation equation, it is not about you, and it was never about you!   The sinner in need of Gospel is STILL in God’s wrathful judgment, keep this always in mind.

Catholic Slumber

Proverbs 21:24

A proud and haughty man—“Scoffer” is his name; He acts with arrogant pride.

It is an interesting phenomenon I have seen in the Catholic church congregation when it comes to the any exposure of child sexual abuse.  The first reaction seems to be a denial, then comes rationalizations.  This abuse happens in every part of society, however the vast secrecy and cover ups in this church has always been quite disturbing.

A website called http://www.bishop-accountability.org/AbuseTracker is a source which publishes news articles from across the world showing any sexual abuse mainly in church settings.  One could go on this site each week for the past year, and see a story about a Catholic priest in a headline being either indicted, accused, or shown to have abused children. The stories can be daily as well.  This site has for years exposed and documented in detail the vast problem of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.

Yet, the Catholic congregation sleeps through the problem, hoping it will go away. The simple sentiment is “our church doesn’t teach it, so it is not our problem”.  This is used also to rationalize why polls show close to 79 percent of RCC congregation agreeing that abortion should be legal in some form and about 90 percent of Catholics under the age of 35 believe same-sex marriage should be legalized without question.

But it IS a deep-seeded problem!  ALL ongoing sin and debauchery will stem from somewhere.  The secular society has figured this out, so why does the Catholic church sleep through its problems?  Pride is one of the main reasons.  The Catholic does not like the idea of actually questioning the fruits being produced by its gospel.  Fear is another reason, as it just very well could call their faith into question.

Look, if just one or two or even ten Catholic priests abused children in the past 50 years, the Catholic might very well be right to look at this problem as an anomaly.  But this is no anomaly!  We are talking thousands of abused children and priests carrying out the abuse.  A headline each day or week should wake up the RCC congregation but it sleeps. Last week’s headline, 301 priests and a 1,000 children in Pennsylvania should wake them up, but they remain sleeping.

To the Catholic questioning on whether to leave the church, this should be your wake up call!  Not only because this problem continues and the church systematically covers up these crimes with a Grand Jury needed for transparency, but because of the stem where this is all coming from.

Would Jesus Christ be blessing or judging a church with this sort of problem?  Make no mistake, it isn’t a blessing!  Let’s put this into perspective shall we?  The RCC claims to be the one true church “founded by Jesus Christ, 2,000 years ago”.  If this were really the case, 2,000 years of growth and maturity would show this church by now as rooted out about every problem.  The comparison, would be the actual church. A born-again believer who hypothetically lived 2,000 years with the indwelling Holy Spirit, each day being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, I would say there is not a chance this person would have the same issue, NOT A CHANCE.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

I don’t just say this to Catholics, but anyone involved in an organization or church which systematically has shown itself to cover up evil. Expose them, call them out, and then run from these places if they continue to remain unrepentant.  The longer you stay, the more it shows you are content with being on the wide road to destruction.

A church Jesus is endorsing?  They are called to holiness, not to evil. They are growing and maturing, they are not on a continuous back-slide.  They are representing His name, yes HIS name!  His name is not to be continuously dragged through the mud and then rationalized for doing so by pride.  This church would NEVER put the institution above the protection of its own children.  His church would NEVER systematically for years cover up crimes against children let alone anyone for that matter. It wouldn’t take a secular authority to unmask its problems, as they would be transparent and repentant.

Dear Catholic, if TODAY you hear the voice of Jesus Christ, harden not your heart!  Sin and evil and cover ups of the abuse of children is NOT His voice!  Complacency towards evil is NOT His voice!  Sleeping through turmoil, looking the other way while children are being harmed, is NOT His voice!  Destroying faith in God in a child, is NOT His voice!

I plead with you today, TEST your faith, TEST your church’s doctrines, see where the stem of this evil is coming from, it is not from Jesus Christ!

From Darkness to Light

Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.”

When I was a Catholic, I didn’t know it at the time but I walked in darkness. My desire was not to follow Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind, soul, it was to follow a religion of which I did loyally and very devoutly. I rather followed the lusts of my heart. My nights weren’t filled with reading and studying the word of God, it was at times seeking out the nearest strip club, or some other evil place. I used profanity basically as my first language, was completely self-centered in about everything I did.  When I didn’t get what I wanted, I complained and called myself a victim. I was mean-spirited and unforgiving, boastful and rude. I thought of myself as a “good person” yet I walked in darkness!

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Yes, with the almost perfect religious church attendance on my record, the participation in the Eucharist, my desires never changed.  The RCC viewed me as “born-again” based on my infant water baptism, and then my confirmation but I hardly walked as a new creation in Christ. I was fooling myself and the RCC enabled this completely. I was also enabled by the compromising non-Catholics who called me a Christian, the ecumenists, and the univeralists. I was an empty shell, evil in my thoughts and deeds but all the while because of my religion, I felt I was on the right track. I walked in darkness!

It was NOT until by the hand of God alone who regenerated my heart to His glory alone, that I realized I was FAR FROM a new creation all my life. 43 years I walked in darkness and I didn’t know it was darkness until I saw God’s light!  His light exposed me for who I was, a dirty, rotten, self-righteous putrid sinner. He showed me that there was just ONE WAY to eternal life, and it was through the person and work of Jesus Christ who was my substitute for the wrath God had for me on my sins. And there were MANY sins. I was in fact a “mortal” sinner, while the RCC called me a “venial sinner” by their subjective standards.

God showed me through His word that the ONLY purification He would accept was Jesus Christ’s pureness. This eliminated any after-death fictional place called purgatory. With this regeneration, God granted me repentance. The results were immediate! My desires changed from seeking sin or to get away with sin or rationalize my sin, to turning away from them. Instead of desiring the lusts of my heart, I desire only Jesus Christ and His revealed word. I spend my nights feeding and drinking His word, instead of gorging myself at bar, talking smart, profaning His name. My life went from darkness to LIGHT!

My plea to Catholics is to STOP fooling yourselves! You walk in darkness despite any memorized talking point you want to state.  A new creation is not a defective or empty creation, but a NEW creation. This new creation doesn’t follow Jesus Christ out of guilt or an attempt to save yourself, they follow Him because they KNOW they have been granted eternal life with Him! Yes, here and now!   The peace and rest Jesus promises, is here and now! Repentance of sin is actually realized and experienced, not out of guilt, but because God works in the new creation.

Your RCC water baptism? It amounted into nothing, sorry to inform you. Your consumption of wafers each week? Please tell me what did that amount to. Hardly if any Catholic can provide a testimony and witness in Jesus Christ, proving that you are actually a child of His. Ask yourself why after decades in the RCC, you really don’t have a testimony other than a set of impersonal creeds or memorized talking points which only show you that your relationship with Jesus was always impersonal.

And more importantly, a NEW creation does NOT continually doubt in their salvation granted by God through Jesus Christ. The RCC teaches doubt, because the onus is on YOU to complete something Jesus already completed. You will fail, Jesus did not fail, place your faith in Him alone!

Jesus said in Matt 7:23 that it doesn’t matter if you know Him. You can do works in His name to all your delight, you can tell Him all these religious things you have done, BUT if He does NOT KNOW YOU, it is off to eternal darkness.

Want to take a step into the light? Ask God to open your eyes to this light! Set your religious pride aside, remove your presuppositions from the RCC for a second and believe God is real. That He is the omnipotent God who bows to no human being. In other words humble yourself before Him. If it is His will, as He promised He WILL open your eyes and ears at which time you too will discover you were walking in darkness. And at that glorious time, you will step into the eternal light of Jesus Christ!

Roman Catholic Apathy

This is NOT a protestant versus Catholic issue, it is a right versus wrong problem!  A good versus evil exposure!  Get your head out of the sand, remove your religious pride for a second, and think about the children in your church!

Revelation 3:16  So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

A rather controversial confrontation when it comes to Catholics is when it comes to the systematic abuse of children in the Roman Catholic Church. On August 14, 2018, 6 large dioceses in Pennsylvania came under a Grand Jury indictment. 300 priests, 1000 children abused by predator priests, of which the report showed rather disgusting details such as “rape” being conducted under the name of God.  The cover-ups were the most revealing part of the report as the dioceses used the legal system to basically hide these criminals until the statute of limitations ran out, and then put them back into service as if nothing happened.

Why does this abuse continue? In my book called The Roman Catholic Problem, it is because of the indoctrinated apathy of the RCC congregation. They are unwilling to hold their church accountable, it is the defense of the institution OVER children in their church.  Despite measures they say that have been put in place, it still takes a Grand Jury to expose this abuse because we certainly would most likely never hear of it from the congregation or a word of it from RCC hierarchy.

Why is there apathy? In this indoctrinated cult-like environment, they see it as a defense of their religion. Outsiders they believe are trying to destroy the RCC, and it must be defended at all costs over any defense of a child. When those WITHIN the walls of the RCC are actually doing a masterful job at doing the destroying!

I was asked by a Catholic “well what can I do?”  My response was simple, speak out against this abuse and the cover-ups with zero tolerance!  This has nothing to do with someone challenging a doctrine of the church, it has everything to do with protecting children, and reaching out to the victims which aren’t the priests who did this abusing as the church wants to portray.  Challenge your church, write letters, organize groups, use social media with a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for any such abuse.

What else can you do? Instead of defending the church at all costs, acknowledge the tragedy and condemn the sin in no certain terms, and then reach out to the VICTIMS, not the priests, but the VICTIMS.  Treat every child in the church as your child, and say enough is enough!  I said this before, but if the abuse happened in a public school and the school officials covered it up, there is really no doubt in my mind that the Catholic parent would confront the school, challenge the officials. But there is every reason to doubt they would do the same thing if the abuse happened within their walls.

Why do I say this? Because in the past seven years of exposing this abuse, I see the comments from Catholics mainly being comparison fallacies. That because the abuse happened in some protestant church, then no one should or ever has the right to complain about RCC child abuse.  Then the false comparison to Judas.  Judas’ sin was betrayal of Jesus, I don’t read of him abusing children.   I then see the attack on the person exposing the crimes instead of the crime itself and then attack on the victims, as if they are to blame?

Catholics, WHEN are you going to be willing to put pride aside and say ENOUGH???  Why is it inconceivable to you to speak out against the RCC when it comes to these crimes against CHILDREN and anyone who attempted to cover them up?   Do you believe God agrees with such behavior?

This disgusting problem exposes more than just the disgusting crimes, but the unwillingness of the RCC congregation to do something about it, to challenge and confront their hierarchy, to speak out with ZERO TOLERANCE for ANY abuse of a child including in your confines of your religion.  This is not protestant versus Catholics, it is right versus wrong!

God Will Use Anything!

img_20170415_112754187

My testimony in life shows a dark past. The relationships I was involved in only brought pain, misery, self-loathing, anxiety, turmoil, and depression.  I can’t think of one relationship I had in my former life which did not end in these characteristics.  I desired marriage and a family, I prayed for it, but never found the right one or should say I KNOW now I wasn’t the right one either.  My magnet was to draw in the narcissists, for some reason, they were the common lust in my life.  Those who did not care a lick about me, I could be lying stranded in a ditch and they would be the last ones to show up, and probably wouldn’t show up at all.  But these were the types my sinful brain was insanely attracted to.  I would then play the helpless victim to my friends and family, “whoa is me”. But here I was inviting evil into my life and then asking “why are they so mean?”…I would go from one narcissist to another….I was chasing a pathetic dream of misery and sadness…such a sad prideful former life!

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

In 2012, God did some purging and pruning in my life!  I had just been reborn by Him a few months earlier and realized first hand how He works.  He just ended the last narcissistic relationship in my life and I felt relieved for the first time.  In April of 2012, I went to my sister’s home who had just purchased a new golden retriever puppy named Dakota.  This was my niece and nephew’s first dog, so I decided to help them train him.  I had owned a dog previously, but I do confess was NOT a good owner. I basically pawned him off to my Mom so I could party with my friends, and be free to do what I want when I want, and see him when I chose to, speaking to that rather sad pathetic former life.

As I was training the puppy Dakota, all those thoughts came rushing in about how terrible an owner I was with my former dog.   But Dakota didn’t seem to mind, he listened and was getting my commands right away.  So I left their house thinking and thinking, I need a puppy like that!  Granted, I was not at all prepared for one, and considering my past life, the outside job I had, I doubted if I was up to this task. But the thoughts were consuming, so I got home turned on the computer and searched for Gordon Setter puppies, a breed I originally wanted.  A breeder was listed, I called, and it just so happened he had a litter being being born on the coming Wednesday, told me to send $100 to hold one, and I did.  My life had just changed and I didn’t even know it yet.

Now speaking to God’s providence in this?  Gordon Setters are a rare breed, the waiting list is 2-3 years long at times for a puppy which is not always guaranteed, and it was that miraculous timing I just found one instantly!

There was much turmoil in my life at the time, financial dealings which were being rectified, an outside job which was demanding, and relationships which were being pruned and/or terminated.  So along came Leo!  A new puppy who changed my life for the good. God had put him there to show me many things. Firstly, that irresponsibility would not be tolerated by Him. I was to be all in or not at all. Secondly, to show me that dogs show us many things some humans do not do. Unconditional love, forgiveness, adapting, acceptance, self-control, peace, joy, etc. they give freely.  He had replaced the human garbage in my life with Leo!

I do get scoffing from unbelievers mainly how focused I am in Scripture and following Jesus Christ, how then I can use Leo as a symbol of this growth. But it is true!  Leo, is the symbol of my new life in Christ, a blessing granted by God to help me grow and mature in Him.  It was now not all about me, I had to look beyond myself and be committed in doing so, God would not tolerate failure in this.  Leo has been a great companion, he has patiently endured my book writing and waiting to go for his walks while I witness to the lost. He is gentle, kind, and very intelligent, always willing to learn and listen, traits God was showing me I now possessed as well.

I know and realize the time with Leo is short, so I do not take any day with him for granted. Some are perplexed as to why I don’t seek their enjoyment of the world anymore, but I am perfectly content in this life with him with the time I have been granted.  And I have grown each day Leo has been around as God is still preparing me for His purpose of which I gladly and whole heartedly serve!

God can and will use ANYONE or ANYTHING to help us grow. It might or might not be a new puppy, it could be anything, just LOOK to see how He works in your life. It could be a new job, a move to a new community, a new friend, a new co-worker, a new hobby. Just look around and see His hand working to grow you, to sanctify you! If you are not growing or maturing, you are just like I was in my former life, it is all about you!  When you are in Christ, it is ALL about Him!  Including the things He blesses you with from the small to the large, all things, not just somethings.  Thank Him for these blessings!

The Black-light Testimony!

Romans 3:10 “as it is written, There is none righteous, not even one11 There is none who understandsThere is none who seeks for God12 All have turned aside, together they have become uselessThere is none who does goodThere is not even one.” 13 Their throat is an open graveWith their tongues they keep deceiving,” “The poison of asps is under their lips”; 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness”; 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood16 Destruction and misery are in their paths17 And the path of peace they have not known.” 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Back in my college days, my friends and I would go to club which had black-lights, which are ultraviolet lights. If anyone has been under a black-light, you know that it exposes things that never would be seen by the naked eye. We would wear our cleanest shirt by our eye, and under a black-light it would show much lint, stains, etc. not seen in regular daylight. Despite our best efforts, our clothing would show imperfections. My shirts for example looked like I had a dandruff problem each time we went to this club, it was embarrassing.  Black-lights for example were used to expose “clean” motel rooms, well let’s just say it was NOT pretty sight. One might not ever use the bed covers in a motel again after seeing this. Despite looking clean, the black-light showed the disgusting opposite.

But it reminds me of the sin we all possess. Some will try desperately to put on external piousness, they say they keep all the commandments to perfection, yet when the light of Jesus Christ is shown, the ultimate black-light, they would see only rather disgusting imperfection. The stains of sin are engrossing on fallen man. We are born this way. And God cannot live with the slightest lint on our being, so to speak. It detests and is contrary to every part of His holiness.

Some try to wash themselves up by religiosity. Surely, by church attendance or sacrament participation or good works that this would take care of those stains, right? WRONG! Those stains of sin are still there, and you gained a few more filthy stains.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.

So how can we remove the stain of sin entirely? It is ONLY by faith alone in the person and work of Jesus Christ. He walked this earth sinless. He sacrificed Himself on the Cross so that YOU could be stainless, blameless, and perfect before a holy God. By that one atonement, Jesus forgave your sins. He removed all that lint so to speak, and now you are clothed in His righteousness. When the black-light is used now, God sees perfection. You are now part of His Kingdom forever more! This is called the Good News!

Some work tirelessly to remove their own stains. They believe they are “cooperating” with God who needs their help. But Jesus never once needed your help!  God is only pleased by faith, without faith alone in Jesus it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).  If we could remove our sins, Jesus had no reason to leave His eternal throne to die in our place.

The scoffing, mocking, and unbelief is always shown by the world system when one declares that by their faith alone in Jesus Christ removed every stain a sin from a sinners account. But this is exactly what Scripture declares.

Romans 7“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven,
And whose sins have been covered.
Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”

Catholic Indoctrination

When I was a Roman Catholic, I was devout, militant, loved the church right up until God opened my eyes to His truth in Scripture.  It was at that time I realized I had been deceived. I was indoctrinated to the maximum.  I was a cradle Catholic, attended CC school, fully catechized on every aspect of Catholicism. I knew nothing else!

So when anyone came along, and there were few, who ever challenged my faith in the RCC, I hotly contested this. I could not understand what in the world they were talking about. Calling me an “idolater?”..My response always was “what idolatry?”.  Saying that I was unsaved?  No, that couldn’t be true, I attended church religiously and followed everything the RCC told me to practice in detail. Unlike other Catholics, I would explain, I actually followed church doctrine and adhered to it. That was my standard response, that the person was wrong for calling me unsaved because he or she must be talking about those cafeteria Catholics, not me.

The indoctrination of the RCC blinded me to Scripture, to biblical truth, to my sins I did not know I practiced.  My thought was “how could this 2,000 year old (self-declared) church be wrong?”.   And that was all the discernment I would practice, end of the line, argument over.  I never once tested RCC doctrines to Scripture, why would I, I thought, it just has to be truth. My family are all Catholics, my friends, and there are billions just like me, so why do I need to test anything was always my thinking.

When God regenerated my heart, I could see for the first time my SINS against Him! Yes, this is what God’s grace does, it removes all that religious self-righteous pride and exposes us for who we are. We finally are shown we are NOT “good people” as the RCC and other world religions led by Satan would have you to believe.  The sin debt is MASSIVE once God shows you, yes MASSIVE.  So much so, He teaches you that you could never pay this debt outside the person and work of Jesus Christ.  It will only be by faith alone in Him that this debt can be paid.  Yes, you are taught the one glorious truth, that you CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF. You need a Savior!  That there is no good deed one can do to remove just one sin, it remains on your account and you will account for each of them! With this grace, God shows you that you are TRAPPED in the burning wreck of your sins. He commands repentance as you are being pulled out by Jesus Christ from that burning wreck and you are now NO LONGER a rebel against Him but His very own child!

Catholics, you have been BLINDED to God’s truth! Yes blinded!  Pray that God opens your eyes!  You are not following the Jesus of Heaven, but the Jesus of the RCC.  The Jesus of the RCC teaches doubt, self-righteousness, self-governance, and dependency on a worldly church.  The Jesus of Heaven promises ETERNAL CERTAINTY and COMPLETE FORGIVENESS of your sins!

The gospel of Me!

What is the most popular “Christian” gospel on the market? I call it the “gospel of Me!”

It is a gospel which convicts no one, accepts everyone, and invents a Jesus to conform and appease to all sin while accepting as well unbelief in Him for the sake of self-esteem and self-aggrandisement.  Scripture in this false gospel is not about the person and work of Jesus Christ but me.   The sentiment Jesus wants me to fulfill all my worldly dreams, health, wealth, and happiness without anyone judging me or challenging me in my faith.

All roads lead to heaven in the gospel of me, it won’t discern false teachers because that would lower self-esteem and it is something the Jesus in this false gospel would supposedly never do.  So what if that church is teaching something never taught in Scripture, the gospel of me will accept them because this invented Jesus would too, stop being a hater they will scream!  Don’t bring up idolatry or sin or anything of the sort, we do not want sinners believing they need to repent of anything, the gospel of me’s Jesus wouldn’t like this.

God is only as holy as the best and moral human being around, anything beyond this and you are being a hater and God would be some sort of a monster.  The gospel of me preaches that since “God made me in His image” (you will hear it often with this false gospel), then I am just like Him. Forget about the fall of mankind in the Garden, that was just Adam and Eve’s failure, it doesn’t apply to me or others because we are “good” people are we not?

The gospel of me’s preacher will tell emotional stories of little Johnny and his mother how they struggled and then one day Jesus gave them a new home, how little Susan was picked on as a child and now with Jesus she is the richest woman on Wall Street, how Bill had trouble walking all his life, and now Jesus gave him a new knee and now Bill completed his first marathon.  The tear jerking stories keep coming and the attentive listener is told “you can be a champion too with Jesus”, combined with a couple of out of context Scripture verses and the sinner is now hooked on this gospel of me.

Jesus is just your buddy in the gospel of me, a pal, a colleague, and a salesman. He is not the King of kings, or Lord and Savior in this false gospel. He loves your sins in this gospel and is very tolerant of them, so no need to repent, just try to be the good person, empower yourself further in sin, but you are not as bad as those criminals on the nightly news. He accepts those “filthy rags” (“good” works) now where the sinner can add them to His perfect work and then figure into your heavenly status as well (nowhere taught in Scripture mind you).

Feeling guilty? The gospel of me won’t have any part of feeling guilty, the sin you commit is not really your fault, you are the victim in this gospel, others are to blame.  After all nobody’s perfect, right? So then why strive for holiness, others might be offended in this standing out, especially those members in a gospel of me church.  The gospel of me prompts the blending in with the world, love the world more and forget about that warning of being an enemy of God for this. The times have changed so must God so says the gospel of me.

The gospel of me is the most popular gospel of a sinful fallen world.  Megachurches thrive on this gospel as Scripture and doctrine are not centered Jesus Christ, but always man-centered in your desires and wants in a fallen world.  Jesus is the spiritual ATM machine and dishes out the prosperity by punching in the code which is either some vain selfish prayer or self-righteous ritual.

The glaring problem with the gospel of me? It saves no sinner!  When the teaching on sin and the holiness of God is avoided combined with removing Jesus Christ from the central message of Scripture, it is not Good News but actually bad news being taught.  Jesus did not die on the Cross to raise your self-esteem in a fallen world, He died to save you from your sins to give you HOPE in an eternal future from a fallen world!  And the hard thing for the gospel of me followers is this, Jesus did give up Himself for your redemption, but He did not die for your glory but His glory alone.  Each saved sinner from this rotten fallen world gives Him the glory!

It is never and was never about you!  It was and is always about Jesus Christ!  When we say repent and believe in Jesus alone and you shall be saved, it is His promise to His glory.  The gospel of me, myself, and I will never provide certainty or everlasting joy, it produce depression, anxiety, and false hope.

World religions such as Catholicism believe or not teach the gospel of me. It is always a self-seeking, self-centered, self-righteous faith, all about me what I can do, rather than trusting in what Jesus Christ DID and being all about Him.  Conversing with a Catholic for example you will find their blood pressure rising if you keep them focused on Jesus Christ alone.

Repent of the “gospel of me”, it was never about you!  The Gospel is always about Jesus Christ to His eternal glory alone!
