The Sin of Omission

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

The sin of omission is a common sin. The temptation is to look the other way, to witness something and say nothing. Jesus provides an example of the Good Samaritan in Scripture as a parable. Now the parable is not only showing this sin of omission, but the Good Samaritan is actually Jesus Himself who never sinned this way.

We are all guilty of this sin in some way. It is also called the sin of presumption, but I like it defined as omission. It is the failure to act upon something we know we should be doing or failure to condemn a sin we know is a sin. We do this for various reasons. One is to be accepted, another is the emotional sinful appeals to keep your mouth shut, another could be the old “don’t you judge me”. So we do nothing, we say nothing. The appeal might be to “God is love, so please stop”, and so we say nothing, do nothing while the sins happen right before your eyes.

The sin of omission is also present if we falsely presume that we are as holy as God is holy. Some subjectively believe they are sinless and holy, but fail the objective test against an eternal holy God every single day. “No one is perfect”, but God certainly is!

It is quite prevalent in the Gospel sharing world as well. One might see a definite big problem with a gospel one is sharing which is anti-Scriptural, yet they ignore this because the sharer might have said some truths. As James 2 explains “even the demons God is one”, it doesn’t mean they are right in their walk!

We must always fight against the sin of omission, it is a natural sin to commit. You must not rationalize if you commit this sin, it must be confessed to God so as you grow out of this sin. I believe God tests us in this respect, a Christian being sanctified will sometimes be placed in situations so as to test your sanctification. Those who are being sanctified, will realize and be convicted of this, and will grow and mature from it, they repent. Those who aren’t continue to look the other way, they rationalize, point fingers, and try to justify these sins in their own eyes, but it won’t get past God’s ever watching eyes.

Be on guard for this sin of omission. Don’t fret, we all fall short of the glory of God, but those IN Christ will repent of it, grow from it. It is all part of the process as no one is glorified in the flesh.

Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Brutal Honesty

Proverbs 29:24 Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing.

A basic logical question I love to ask, if lying is a sin, then why do it? If someone is behaving foolishly for example, and we hold our tongue in essence telling the person they aren’t behaving foolishly, this is deemed a lie.

Proverbs 26:4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.

Solomon says “do not answer a fool according to his folly”. Now some might immediately think, “well this means we should not answer”. But this is not what the command is, you aren’t to answer according to the folly, meaning an answer is to be given, but not in the same foolishness. The key words here are “according to”. This means if someone is speaking foolishness, we call them a fool, we don’t call them intelligent or smart which would be answering according to his folly.

In today’s society if one who is convicted by the word of God, if you do point out a sinful behavior by brutal honesty, you will get most likely “do not judge lest you be judged” line. This being out of context again, because the person illogically then is asking you to lie, and then be judged by God for lying. We are to judge with a righteous judgment (John 7:24), meaning we are not to lie and provide the truth.

You will be torn at times with the emotional appeals “You are a hater”, “You are just being mean”, etc., but don’t allow that to tempt you to lie by being less than honest in your discernment!

How to make sure you are on the right side of the equation? Stay in the word of God, study Scripture!

The MAIN Reason a Catholic WILL die in their sins

John 8:24, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

The debate can rage on and on endlessly with a Roman Catholic, but make no mistake when we boil it out, we can easily discern one key point as to why Roman Catholicism is teaching a false gospel. The Roman Catholic WILL die in their sins. And if you die in your sins, it is off to hell for an eternity. Doesn’t matter if it is a lesser or greater sin, ALL sin defiles God’s holiness. He cannot live in sin.

If you believe you can die in your sins, and be cleansed in purgatory as a form of final punishment, you have been DECEIVED. Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden for one of these lesser sins, simple disobedience. They ate the fruit they were told not to eat. By a human court, this wouldn’t even rise to the level of small claims violation, the case would be dismissed and God would be laughed and chastised out of the courtroom for making such a claim.

So Catholics, do you really believe you can die in your sins? You had better study this further. “Good people” don’t get into heaven, FORGIVEN SINNERS do! If ALL your sins have not been forgiven/cleansed by the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, you WILL surely die in your sins! Your “good works” mean not a thing to a Holy God. I am sure Adam and Eve thought about the works they could do, God told them He would be only pleased by a sacrifice/atonement of a perfect Lamb, which turned out to be Jesus Christ, and by faith alone in Him, your sins are forgiven.

Why Catholics WILL DIE IN THEIR SINS? They have replaced the ONLY Mediator of their sins, Jesus Christ, with their church. They believe by the ongoing sacrament of confession/reconciliation, they can somehow beat the clock by a RCC priest absolving them and they doing their penance. Lesser sins? The Catholic is not so much worried about, they can die in those and be cleansed in purgatory.

This would be why an indoctrinated Catholic is NOT listening to the Gospel. They have been led to believe that Jesus really is irrelevant now. He did His thing, and “opened the doors of Heaven”, now it is the Catholic’s job by their self righteousness and self governed faith to walk through those doors. They do this by works of charity, sacrament participation, their church attendance, indulgences handed out as candy by their pope, devotion to Mary and the saints, etc. What is missing? Faith in Jesus Christ as their SOLE Mediator. The gates of Heaven are CLOSED to them, and they are too proud to realize it.

A favorite Catholic talking point is “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (ref Matt 16:18). But they horribly misinterpreted this verse to mean that the “church” Jesus is talking about is the RCC, and by just plain BAD logic believe there are these gates of Hades running around attacking the RCC.

NO NO NO! Gates by their function (using basic logic here) hold someone in or hold someone out. It is NOT just Satan and his demons behind those gates, but everyone IN their sins! Yes you, if you have not been forgiven by Jesus Christ’s work and placed your faith alone in Him are still behind those gates of Hades. Thus you WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS and stay behind those gates.

The gates of Hades cannot prevail over what? The context here is the Gospel of the CHURCH! Saving faith in this Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the power unto salvation, those gates can be easily walked through. They do not hold one inside any longer! Saving faith in Jesus Christ knocks down those doors, the sinner walks right through them to eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Sorry to inform you Catholics, but you are STILL behind those gates of Hades. Your gatekeeper is the RCC, your pope, your religion. This alone holds you IN those gates and you will die in your sins unless you repent and place your faith alone in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of ALL your sins! Human gatekeepers are no match for this saving faith, you will walk through those gates to an eternity with God! The only thing preventing you, is YOUR STUBBORN PRIDE and the belief in those gatekeepers. They WILL NOT let you pass! They tell you that they hold the keys to your salvation, but they lied to you! It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ which are those keys, and every Christian church uses those keys to reach the lost. The contrary of this is the RCC would like you remain behind the gates, thus you WILL surely die in your sins!

Even after death they claim they have a claim on your soul in purgatory. ABANDON the RCC today!! Rid yourself of this BAD gatekeeper who desires to see you die in your sins!

Why Catholic Baptism is a Fraud and Defunct Proposition

Galatians 5:4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace

There are NO LAWS imposed on Justification!
Scripture says that if one is trying to be justified “by law”, notice Paul didn’t say here “by the law”, but “by law” you have fallen by grace. That means any law. The RCC has set their baptism ritual as a law by making it the very point of which they call “initial justification.” In other words, a sinner cannot be saved without it thus in effect falling from grace by making it a law of justification. To impose a law on salvation, you have fallen from grace, Paul is clear on this.

Secondly and more importantly the fraud of the RCC baptism can be discerned by their notion that regeneration happens by this ritual. A Catholic is supposedly born again, indwelled by the Holy Spirit, no longer an enemy of God.

In order for RCC baptism to be true, then EVERY single Roman Catholic who has been supposedly born again, MUST show that they have been born again. This can be discerned quickly by the myriad of lapsed Roman Catholics (as they call them) who are now full blown atheists and/or agnostic. They are supposedly had been born again by RCC baptism and very quickly gave up even the idea that God exists. Ask yourself, would the Holy Spirit indwelling these Catholics lead them to this unbelief? NO!

When pressed on this glaring efficacy problem with RCC baptism, a hardened Catholic will quickly try to invoke their free-will. That God won’t “force” one to remain born-again. The problem is there is NO Scriptural example of a regenerated sinner, saved and justified, losing their born-again status. Each time a sinner has been regenerated, they repented, they have only grown and matured in the Spirit. I see NO examples of one born again who then went onto to be hardened atheists or agnostics combatting the Apostles and turning out to be enemies of the Gospel.

The other problem with this is a Roman Catholic must then claim that their “free-will” is much more powerful than God’s will to keep them saved. That God would create a new creation, only to see this new creation quickly turn into a goat. Again there are no Scriptural examples of this occurring, but we see it occurring in HIGH numbers in the RCC.

Again, to claim regeneration is born from a ritual, you THEN must claim a 100 percent efficacy rate from this claim or claim God’s work is defunct and inadequate and not as powerful as He claimed.

So either Scripture is correct here or the RCC is teaching a fraud.
