The Old and Odd Objection

A revealing odd objection which comes from what I call demonic humanism is the absolute Sovereignty of God’s salvation. Meaning it is God who chooses when, who, and how one will be granted eternal life in Jesus Christ by a lifesaving intervention called regeneration of the Holy Spirit.

The objection is beyond logic. Let’s take the example of an unconscious child in need of lifesaving procedures from a doctor or a paramedic. Would the same who object to God’s sovereignty over salvation, object to the doctor and paramedic? No! Would they object to being trapped in a burning house and a fireman without their permission storming in and carrying them out? No! Would they object if they were drowning in a lake, and someone dived in and pulled them out without their permission? No!

But the old and odd objection to God is that He must sit on the sidelines, He must wait until the spiritually dead and dying sinner who has NO ability to seek Him or have faith in Him, makes a choice and gives Him the thumbs up to save them. I hope you can see the contrast! By this odd objection it says everyone else can be a life saver, but God.

Furthermore it empties the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross, because it makes that sacrifice totally dependent on man to again, give Him the thumbs up to pay for their sins. Jesus died in vain according to this bad logic and odd objection.

I for one thank God each day that He over powered my fallen will in an instant, without my thumbs up or down. If He hadn’t? I would be still lost and blind following the apostate teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, still falsely thinking I would save myself by my choosing.

This is why it is called GRACE! If saved, you did NOTHING, God saved you! You cannot boast, because He did everything, you did ZIP, ZILCH, NADA. And once you come to realize this, how GREAT a salvation it is! Until then, you will be objecting to God and His sovereignty, falsely thinking that you can somehow save yourself when you allow Jesus the permission to save you, when you want, how you want, and where you want.

God’s ways are NOT our ways, thanks be to God!

God Does Many More Great Things

Job 9:10 He does great things past finding out,
Yes, wonders without number.

I think every Christian is guilty at a time or two for not giving glory to God for all things. It is something we grow and learn to do as we are being sanctified. We may just realize or see the obvious great things God does, but not so much the little detailed things we often take for granted.

All of creation’s very essence is dependent on God. And I realized this more so recently, as my dog Joby was suddenly struck with a paralysis of his jaw. His eating and drinking and swallowing came to a dead halt, while he wanted to, a nerve opened and it paralyzed him. I thought how much we take for granted just being able to eat, chew, and swallow and a God who is in control of everything such as this.

As I mentioned, we realize those really big things full and well. We profusely thank God for them, but also need to thank Him for all those little mundane things which allow us to just function. We are able to breathe, function, think, move, etc. if we are in good physical shape. Those who have had health issues or have had a accident, I believe realize all those things taken for granted, and a God who can give or take away for His purposes alone.

It gives another reason to fear God, which brings wisdom as Scripture teaches. Instead of saying “if I”, rather start saying “if God so wills”, and make that a practice. Condition yourself to see God’s hand in EVERYTHING, the large things as well as the minute things down to the very atom and you will begin to appreciate more of who God is.

Sometimes God comes in as a whirlwind, a sudden stop to what we are doing, so as to appreciate Him more to look to Him more. Sometimes it is very subtle, always telling us “LOOK at these great things” He is doing. We will never know based on our finite minds every great and wondrous thing God has done, just have faith those things are always being done! God doesn’t take timeouts, He isn’t waiting a thumbs up or down from you. He is ALWAYS working out great things! Thank Him for this providence, protection, and safety and LIFE He has granted!

What is An Evanescent Faith

Evanescent is defined as “tending to vanish like vapor”. So an evanescent type of faith is not a faith which saves. Jesus teaches us what this type of faith entails in the Parable of the Sower (Mark 4, Matthew 13, Luke 8). All three Gospel accounts teach this same parable. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus uses agronomy as the analogy for what are described as 3 evanescent faiths, and one true faith.

The false faiths, evanescent, were described as seeds being planted in different types of places. The first one He described were ones who fell by the wayside. These would be those who for example listen to the Gospel, probably sat in a pew for a time or two in a church, nodded their head, but the light never went on, they QUICKLY fell away. They fell away, and their type of faith never resulted in anything, as they continued to live their life of depravity.

The second evanescent faith Jesus described was a seed planted on rocky ground. This would be the sinner who hears the Gospel, gets excited for reasons other than being saved such as possibly a reformation of their life, but since they were not regenerated, they too fall away once tempted. They may go to church for a bit longer, they may even sing in the choir, and volunteer around the church. But since they were not born-again, they had no roots as Jesus described, so all of a sudden they stopped. This church going to them and trying to live a holy life was much too burdensome, so they vanish as was their evanescent faith.

The third evanescent faith Jesus described was the seed planted in thorns. Like the two other seeds, this one probably came across as a Christian for a time. They declared “Jesus is my Savior”, and even posted Bible verses on their social media. Other Christians saw this person as “saved”, because they were saying and doing all the right things. But all of a sudden they too vanish from the Christian scene. Jesus describes it as “being choked by the world”, they simply go back to their fallen life without an apology.

All three of these faiths were evanescent, they vanished. Jesus describes this, because He was warning the church of the many play actors we would encounter inside the church and giving a perfectly logical explanation why these type of sinners leave, they vanish, or why they acted like a Christian for awhile, and then stopped.

Now the true seed Jesus spoke of was planted on good ground. This in context of the ground being one who has been born-again, a new creation, regenerated by God. They do not fall away. A seed like this is watered in another analogy in Scripture, and it grows. So the faith of this saved sinner grows, it doesn’t die, it doesn’t vanish. Through tribulation, trials, temptation, this type of faith endures, it doesn’t fall away. It also doesn’t think of church fellowship or studying the Bible and things of God as burdensome. It doesn’t get caught up in political agendas or useless drama of the world. This type of seed shows the FRUIT which sprang from God’s regenerating work!

Which seed are you? Do an honest assessment, really examine your faith and practice to discern this. Many were deceived by devilish planters claiming “You in fact are a Christian now”, but you never realized any growth, and Christianity seems like a chore or a game you put in the closet only to be played when you feel like it.

One of the Most Rejected Doctrines

Psalm 115:3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.

One of the most rejected teachings from Scripture from unbelievers but many world religions, is the sovereignty of God as revealed in Scripture. Ever since the Garden of Eden, Satan has pushed and pushed this rejection onto fallen sinners and has influenced all those fallacious questions about God’s characteristics, His Kingdom, His control.

The main attempt in this rejection by so-called “churches” is to claim God is really not omniscient. Meaning that He cannot know every single thing, just the big things. That He rolls the dice on mankind, and then learns from it, and then reacts accordingly. They will claim “God is omniscient”, but press it a little further and you will see the rejection when the attempt is made to say “God learned” or “God changed His mind” or “God is still thinking on who to save and when to save them”.

In that attempt, God is only involved in the big events, the major things, and ONLY the good things which happen in the life of the sinner and through the course of history. The twisted view of His sovereignty is to claim basically sin and evil have dominion over Him, because He is not ultimately in control of everything. So the bad events, well that is Satan’s sovereignty who controls God by them. All we need to do is read the Book of Job to see that is not true, as even Satan needs to get permission from God before he were to work on a sinner.

The rejection comes from demonic humanism, the idea that God’s ways have to be man’s ways. And God can only be morally right if He is only involved in good things. This also comes from a Pelagian heresy mindset, where there really was no fall of mankind. But the fact is every human being is born fallen, rejecting God, thus how else could He do anything to His will or purpose if He was not also in control ultimately of the bad? Or look at this way, God being omnipotent, all powerful could stamp out Satan and evil in less than a second, so why is there still sin and evil? The only way to explain this outside of God being sovereign, is that sin and evil are controlling Him, out of His control, He is constantly trying to stay one step ahead of it, thus there goes His omnipotence as well!

In this rejection, the biblical doctrine of election and predestination is negated for a man/God cooperative. God not being really omniscient or omnipotent in this rejection of His sovereignty, He needs to LEARN from man based on what man does, their perceived freedom must never be impeded upon. If God over-steps His bound, He is cast as some sort of monster, or robot maker in this mindset.

If you read Scripture by that rejection mindset I explained, much of what God is doing will be disconnected from a systematic context. Meaning certain parts of Scripture need to be skipped or avoided and other parts cherry picked out of the systematic context to make the rejection make sense

Now if you read Scripture with truthful premise, that God is sovereign, and He works everything, good, bad, indifferent, to His glory alone, the string from Genesis to Revelation begins to make perfect sense. Atheist silly objections for example can be answered, such as “why were there slaves in Scripture”, or “why did God kill everyone and everything in an entire country”. If you don’t see God as sovereign working everything to His glory alone, those questions will trip you up every single time. You won’t be able to give the atheist a coherent answer other than relativism possibly, that was then, this now, a fallacy which would also tell the atheist God is imperfect.

Start seeing God as sovereign over everyone and everything, and you will learn more on His omniscience and omnipotence which can never be limited. If your world religion treats God as a pet, put in a cage to come out and play when and only if He meets humanistic demands, LEAVE that world religion!

God Will Use Anyone or Anything

In Isaiah 10, we read of a circumstance where God sent ungodly Assyrians to use as His tool to put down His own chosen people who were practicing blasphemy and idolatry. He then held the Assyrians accountable for this. This is His powerful sovereignty often overlooked.

A very sinner, such myself from my own testimony, can have an ungodly person for example read Scripture, the Gospel out loud to them and have that be the start of their regeneration from God. The ungodly person doesn’t gain any points with God for doing so, like the Assyrians they are still ungodly.

The ignorant prevalent idea through the ages that the Gospel from Scripture is owned by an ordained minister. The Gospel being the power unto salvation then is limited by that minister. Not so! This would be putting a chain around God and letting Him out when this minister said He could come out. Many so-called Christian churches put that chain around God, as IF God is contained only to them.
First Corinthians 1
27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence

God could use the most foolish means by our worldly finite thinking to turn the heart and mind of a sinner. He does this so that we cannot boast in our abilities, but to serve a notice that salvation is of His court alone, and that the glory goes solely to Him!

So repent of any thinking that God will only use certain religious people or things to commune with His creation. You cannot chain Him up as a servant, He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent! Jesus chose His Apostles based on nothing they ever did by a worldly standard. He even chose Judas to walk with Him knowing all the while Judas would betray them. Could have Judas shared the Gospel to a sinner and that sinner saved? If Judas said it in truth as from Scripture, the answer is yes! The fact that God would use Judas this way in NO WAY exonerates Judas from his ungodliness, God simply used any means possible.

Another example, God even used the devil in the example of Job. He allowed the devil to tempt and torment Job to show that the saving faith from God was UNBREAKABLE. God used the Apostle Peter’s many screw ups to show that one who is a screw-up can be influential if God has chosen the person to do so. I dare say by some modern churches and their standards, Peter would have been kicked out of the ministry.

Another example, God used David as an example of a coming King, Jesus Christ. David was a murderer, an adulterer. David at the time, was the least likely by a worldly standard to be used by God, but here God was using him to show His power and sovereignty. The Apostle Paul, yet another example. A legalistic Pharisee who murdered and tortured Christians, in an instant Jesus changed Paul’s heart who went onto write down the most doctrine for the Christian church you will see in the New Testament. Again, Paul, a least likely candidate by modernistic religious standards was chosen and in some “churches” would never be allowed to enter or like Peter would have been asked to leave based on his past, but here we know that God used him!

Leave that fraudulent world religion which puts God into their small religious box and treats Him as some sort of pet. Used when they say God can be used as a weapon. God is Almighty! His sovereignty cannot be contained! His promises and purposes cannot be muted or censored or changed!

Wake up Calls from God

Isaiah 38:5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.

Hezekiah received a wake up call that many do from God. He was struck with sickness and was near death. God granted him fifteen more years after Hezekiah prayed. The important thing to take from this, is that there was set time to Hezekiah’s death known only to God.

Like Hezekiah, all of our death certificates have already been signed off by God. Jesus reaffirms this in Matthew 6:5 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?. So we cannot even an hour to what has already been determined. God is not reading the obituary pages saying to Himself “oh wow, so and so died yesterday”. He knew the time to the exact second of death before the person died. He also is NOT saying “oh wow, so and so beat death yesterday, good for him, he out-foxed My omniscience once again, I had better get a new date for him now”.

God knows how you will die as well, again to His purpose alone. It might be slow, it might be quick. Again, God is not learning anything, He contains every bit of knowledge. Think of this is way as well, in Acts 4, we read that God determined the death of Jesus Christ, and knew all the players which would carry this out.

What I noticed with unbelievers, is that their unbelief becomes exposed for all to see upon a wake-up call. They will try to claim that somehow they beat death, but did they? You can’t believe in God by believing you beat death, or that a doctor saved your life, or it was because you did or that or someone else did something which prevented your death. Or as I have seen with SO MANY “it was luck!” or “I was just lucky, I guess” Because it was ALL God which staved off your perceived death which really was your wake-up call, a warning to you that death is imminent. God doesn’t roll the dice, He doesn’t tread in gambling and luck!

Put it this way, you can be in the best physical shape of everyone your age, and receive the best medical care on the planet, and it won’t add just an hour to your life. You may also think you are just more intelligent, or a just a good person. I got NEWS for you who think this way, there are plenty of talented, intelligent, and “good” people by worldly standards did not live to an old age. This is not to sound pessimistic or fatalistic, but it is the truth! If the Son of God, Jesus Christ, could not add an hour to His own life while He walked on this earth, what makes you think you can?

So there are really only two outcomes from these wake-up calls from God. One is to just go back to your silly life of depravity, believing it was just a brush with death that you by sheer will power beat on your own. Or you can take this wake-up call to REALLY think on your eternal future. Have you placed your faith alone in Jesus Christ and repented of your sins? Be thankful, because by this wake-up call God has graced you with more days to do so. Those who take the warning and then seek the Gospel are going to be much better off than those who forget about it as if it never happened. Again I have seen the latter from my experience than the former.

If you don’t believe me? Please study the Book of Revelation. God gives some MASSIVE wake-up calls to mankind and it really did nothing to change the heart of most of mankind. God has a purpose in them, one I believe is it is going to be answer on Judgment Day to many of those who complain that they were a good person, but now are sentenced to hell. They failed to believe in Jesus, they failed to give any glory for the wake-up call to God, but will still complain as if God is being unfair somehow to them.

If you received a wake-up call, whether that be a heart attack, a stroke, deadly disease, a car accident, a serious health issue, a near death experience, I pray that you LEARN from this experience. NOT in the respect as to what the world did for you to save your life, but what God did and see His Almighty hand in that wake up call, and to learn that God gave you a warning about the death which will come sooner or later. Don’t blame God on Judgment Day if you went back to your hedonistic lustful way of living while rejecting Him and His Gospel as if you were the god which prevented the taking of your life.
